Welcome to "Fins Up! Fishing Charters". We specialize in light tackle "opportunity" fishing on the Great South Bay and Atlantic Shore in and around Fire Island Inlet. Fire Island is the hidden gem of New York sportfishing, where we target trophy Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke, Shark and Bluefin Tuna.
We call it "opportunity" fishing. We take whats given to us at the time. In early spring we chase the live bait, the trophy Stripers and the Weakfish that follow. In summer months we pound the bottom for Fluke with bait and Bucktails.Then in the fall its back to looking for "The Man in the Pinstriped Suit ". And in all seasons we attempt to rip your arms off with topwater Bluefish on light sticks. Nothing beats the excitment of seeing that splash and hearing your reel screaming. When weather permits we will head offshore and troll for Bluefin Tuna, Mahi, and drift for Shark. We take pride in teaching kids and novices on "pressure free" fishing trips and invite the expert along for that hardcore tophy hunt. We gear your trip toward your needs.
